7TH APSYRTIDES VITALITY FESTIVAL
High quality sea and supreme air quality with over 200 days of sunshine and 1018 plant species, of which 939 belong to indigenous flora, make Lošinj the ideal aromatherapy centre focused on you breathing as deeply as you can.
The opening of the festival will be held on May 18 at 6 p.m. in the Garden of Fine Scents!
The aromatic Lošinj plants considerably affect the microclimate and the quality of the island aerosol, and with its essential fragrances, colours and shapes they have a beneficial effect on human health, protect against solar radiation and cold winds. Aromatherapy can increase the body's natural resistance to unwanted effects as well as stimulate its immune system. Applying essential herbal oils as a means of disease prevention and health preservation was used already in the ancient cultures of Babylon, India, Egypt, Greece, Rome and China, as evidenced by numerous historical records. Local herbs are traditionally used in gastronomy of the Cres and Lošinj Archipelago.
